“We are heartbroken to inform you that our beautiful, fierce, and beloved mother has passed away after a brief battIe with caancer,” the actress’s children wrote.

The actress rose to prominence as Rebecca Howe on the legendary TV show “Cheer.” Her children and grandchildren will remember her for her fiery acting and loving personality.
Her performance in “Cheers” won her a Gold Globe nomination and an Emmy nomination. She also starred in the sitcom Veronica’s Closet, which aired from 1997 to 2000.
Kirstie Alley’s Family
From 1970 to 1977, Alley married her high school sweetheart, Bob Alley. After their divorce, she married Parker Stevenson in 1983.
Together, the couple adopted two children. Their son William arrived in 1992, and their daughter Lillie joined them two years later.

Alley kept her children out of the spotlight, but her close friends witnessed her embrace motherhood and could speak to her being a fantastic mother.
Kathy Najimy, one of the actress’s close pals, described Alley as a “fun mom.” She remembered jumping into the pool while still dressed. When her daughter asked for a doll house, Alley decided to build one that could fit three people instead of buying one.
Her friends said Alley said she was not the kind of mother who spoiled her children. She simply chose to do things in a more grand manner.

In 2016, the actress’ son William welcomed his first child, Waylon, with his wife, Sarah Parker. Alley announced the news on Twitter and said, “when your son has a son…bliss,” accompanied by a picture of William holding his newborn son.
Though Alley kept her family life primarily private, she still gave fans a glimpse into her happy life as a grandmother. One time she Tweeted that William needed to get her grandson a small diaper that fit him better.
Alley welcomed two more grandchildren; her daughter Lillie had a son in 2021, making him the third grandchild. Lillie decided to keep her child’s name private.

Although Alley and her children decided not to share pictures of the babies, the actress assured her fans that they were super cute.
Alley’s children know her to be full of passion, “zest,” and willingness to live her life to the fullest. She also had a deep love for animals, and her children will always be grateful for her lessons and will continue to lead a life with the same rigor as their mother.
Her ex-husband is also mourning the loss. Stevenson wrote a sweet tribute to Alley and expressed his gratitude for the years they shared and the two children they have. He needed his message with the words, “You will be missed. With love Parker.”
Inside Kirstie Alley’s House
Alley lived in a six-bedroom and seven-bathroom house before she sold it for 7.8 million dollars. The home sits on an acre of land and has a pool, a pool house, caves, and a turtle pond.

As an animal lover, Alley used to keep rail-tailed lemurs in a chase in the front yard, along with cats, squirrels, and birds. Her Italian-villa-style house was built in 1939, and the actress shared the process of some of her renovations.
The house is detailed with hand-painted murals, gilded molding, and three french doors that lead to the dining space and open to a beautiful terrace. It is also decked with a grand circular entrance, an antique marble carved fireplace, and a long driveway.
The dining space is also accented with beautiful stained windows and wood beams that frame and add more structure to the room. The kitchen looks luxurious, with glossy floors, marble countertops, and vaulted ceilings that make the room feel grand.
Alley’s house had a spacious guest bedroom and the original vintage bathroom with water-blue tiles and details of sea creatures around the room.

Not to forget the ballroom-sized living room that was proportionally furnished along with a library which also served as a game room. The inspiration behind the house’s interior design was “cozy cozy cozy,” as Alley described.
Alley tweeted after listing her mansion that she was looking forward to living a simpler life. She also learned that she had a different viewpoint on what she thought was vital and valuable, so she stepped outside of her comfort zone.
The actress’s neighbors included “Big Bang Theory” star Jim Parsons, Rob Pattinson, Noah Wylie, and Tim Curry.

Alley was a lady with a big heart, big enough to love the people in her life, big enough to enjoy creativity, and big enough to love animals. She fought valiantly, and we wish her friend and family strength as they grieve this tragic loss.
